S214 is an aluminum bronze welding wire with a small amount of manganese. It has high strength, good wear resistance, and good corrosion resistance. It is especially resistant to acid, salt or slightly alkaline water at various temperatures and concentrations.
通常用于铝青铜、锰青铜、硅青铜和某些铜镍、钢和异种金属的氩弧焊,以及耐磨、耐蚀表面的堆焊,薄型镀铝钢板的MIG钎焊也得到广泛应用。
It is usually used for argon arc welding of aluminum bronze, manganese bronze, silicon bronze and certain copper-nickel, steel and dissimilar metals, as well as surfacing welding of wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant surfaces. MIG brazing of thin aluminized steel plates is also widely used.

1. 焊前必须清除工件焊接边缘及焊丝表面的氧化物、油污等污物,以免引起气孔,夹渣等缺陷,使焊缝性能降低。
2. 铝青铜的焊接和碳钢的堆焊时,薄件不需预热,厚件须预热200℃左右。
3. 由于在熔融的熔池中会形成氧化铝,故不推荐该焊丝用于氧燃气焊接方法,只用于惰性气体保护焊。
1. Before welding, the oxides and oil stains on the welding edge of the workpiece and the surface of the welding wire must be removed to avoid defects such as pores and slag inclusions, which will reduce the performance of the weld.
2. When welding aluminum bronze and surfacing of carbon steel, thin parts do not need to be preheated, and thick parts must be preheated at about 200°C.
3. As alumina will form in the molten pool, it is not recommended to use this wire for oxy-gas welding and only for inert gas shielded welding.
